Whenever we look at the pastries in some pastry shop, we find it so yummy that we might assume how it will taste because of its familiar shape or colour as everyone is fond of pastries. But this intuition might not work in the case with the extremely unusual cake designs by Ukrainian pastry chef Dinara Kasko whose experimental techniques are resulting in the edible objects unlike anything which we have never seen before.
If we take a look on her creations, we would feel like we are sitting on a chair inside the contemporary art museum and anything we see there is completely edible.
Kasko considers the maths in her designs so we can say that her designs are inspired by the tricks of maths such as principles like the Voroni method or considering the 3D model as well as printing in order to create multiple cakes or silicone molds.
If the shapes of the cake are unfamiliar, it is easy to relate some of the ingredients which is using by her lie sponge cake, chocolate mousse etc. the designs of her cake are available on many social media platforms. She makes the cakes exactly like that for which she think it should look like.
Then a 3D model is created by her on the computer for this purpose. She takes a print of it on 3D printer and after that it is filled by plastic master model with silicon.
The moment when silicon is ready, she fills it with the ingredients and freezes it. As soon as it is solid, silicon is moulded off and decoration of the cake is done or tart with the glaze or velour.
