They have opened a state-of-art hotel in Yokohoma, Japan with rooms that have self parking slippers.
The ultimate goal behind this technology is to combine convenience and customer service in such a way that take benefit of advanced technology. As per the designers, thinking behind the innovative slippers and furniture to raise awareness of automated driving technologies and their potential along with non driving applications.
The PropILOT Park Ryokan Resort wants to apply this ultimate technology in traditional hospitality with various autonomous driving technologies in order to give guests some sort of amazing comfortableness. By using the automotive systems, these slippers can park themselves at the entrance of the traditional inn by just pushing a button after that it is ready to use arrival for guests.
These rooms are also equipped with self parking tables and floor cushions and on first glance, they look like any other traditional Japanese inn. These slippers are efficiently lined up so that guests could remove their shoes. These rooms are furnished with low tables along with floor cushions for sitting.
One more amazing thing is that these slippers, tables and cushions have been rigged with a special version of Nissan’s PropILOT Park autonomous parking technology. When they are not in use, they can automatically return to their designated places by just pushing a button.
