Ben Uyeda has built a designer and beautiful spiral staircase that is made out of plywood. These designs are built to show modern and stylish furniture available to the user and the people at low cost.
This project is made from the carving machine that can cut the plywood into different steps. He first installed a metal pole and stacked the thin pieces of plywood around it. He screwed tem together and sanded the entire thing that resulted in a DIY masterpiece.
By using power tools and helpful techniques, the designer is able to construct this spiral staircase. But this design required lots of patience to build something unique out of the natural material.
He used a CNC machine to cut out each of the planks of 3/4-inch plywood into the shape of the steps. For the base, he had a three-foot steel pole welded to a half-inch plate which he then installed in his home. He used both construction adhesive and wood glue to secure the planks for layering the plywood and applying it to the pole.
It was the most safest to use it in everyday’s life. Before sanding and staining the finished product, Uyeda added a platform to complete the access to his outdoor patio. He also added an accent by painting the bottom of the plank with a shade of bright turquoise and completed it.
