Dave Hekkens a 28-year-old designer from Helmond, the Netherlands came with a new and recycling thought for over bulked plastics in the world. It’s a Precious Plastic version 2.0, is a collection of DIY recycling machines that allow anyone to transform plastic into useful objects.
The machine can be easily built with the help of basic tools and universal materials additionally the innovator has disclosed the precious plastic package like an open-source with instructional videos and blueprints that anyone and everyone can start recycling plastic from home.
Four modular machines with components can be easily replaced or repaired made by Hekkens among the four plastic shredder is most useful one as shreds plastics into small adjustable flakes, required when working with other three machines.
Extrusion machine converts plastic flakes into plastic threads, which can be used in 3D printing or in any other creatives. Further injection machine heats and melts plastic flakes into moulds, perfect for creating smaller objects. For larger objects, the compression machine is oven like device that heats the plastic and slowly converts into solid.
The team of precious plastic has kept this device as an open-source leading no cost for this device. It can be developed easily with basic equipment thus bring economical and ecological changes that world needs. The world is been killed by plastics every single day, it’s not only about humans but there are other more creatures and organism living in the surrounding who are getting affected a lot and thus, this innovation will make a huge difference in the society.
